after hearing the observations of Advocate General Ruiz-Jarabo Colomer,
makes the following
Order
1 By order of 20 June 1995, received at the Court on 10 October 1995, the Sim- voulio Epikratias (Council of State) referred to the Court for a preliminary ruling a number of questions on the interpretation of Articles 30 and 36 of the EC Treaty.
2 By a letter of 24 June 1997, received at the Court on 27 June 1997, the Simvoulio Epikratias informed the Court that, by a judgment of 24 June 1997, it had decided to withdraw the questions referred to the Court of Justice for a preliminary ruling. It did not state the reasons for that decision.
3 In those circumstances, removal from the register should be ordered pursuant to Articles 77 and 78 of the Rules of Procedure.

Costs
4 The costs incurred by the Danish, German, Greek, Austrian and Finnish Govern- ments and by the Commission of the European Communities, which have submit- ted written observations to the Court, are not recoverable. Since these proceedings are, for the parties to the main proceedings, a step in the proceedings pending before the national court, the decision on costs is a matter for that court.

hereby orders:
Case C-317/95 is removed from the register.
